Hibernating

Bought for me by my right brained lover over a decade ago. Unfortunately, said lover was a ‘right brain’ thinker, ruled by logic and order

He informed me he had chosen this book because the main protagonist, so far as he could determine, had a lotu in common with me. She had taken a lover, as had I. She had a strong Jewish background, As had I.

QED: enjoyment guaranteed. The book regularly hibernates

Hibernating until I e had my fill of Jeanette Winterson.

I was so eager to start reading this book, having read The Wisdom of Sally Red Shoes with such enjoyment.

But

I was hijacked by Jeanette Winterson’s autobiographical Why be Happy When You could be Normal? It seems I have tendency to read books in the wrong order...
