Definitely seeing why this one has such low ratings. Really not seeing why some of these actions are necessary. Right now I'm more confused than I would like to be when I'm this far into a book. I feel like more questions are being asked and none of them are getting answered.

I read up to page 267 in one sitting, on the day I started this book (October 26), I was having a grand time with it, I thought the stories were so good and so well written. But now.... It is now almost a month later and I have no desire to finish the last four stories. The last few that I read were just boring. Did the editors put their favorites at the front of the book or something? At least mix it up some.

This is the first World War 2 book I have read, and so far I am enjoying it well enough, but there are so many characters, and names are just being thrown about with absolutely no introduction or back story for any of them. It's a little confusing.

I am not enjoying this book at all. I'm slogging through so many descriptions of so many things and literally nothing is happening. I'm almost halfway through and the only thing that they've done is toured the house. Elaborate descriptions of every room. I thought this book was supposed to be horror. I went in thinking I was going to get the pants scared off me based on what everyone else is saying. And nothing.

I'm having to take this book in small chunks. While I am definitely enjoying it, there is a lot of science-y stuff in here, and I was never particularly good at science so I am having a bit of trouble keeping up. But this book is way better than I anticipated!

Okay, there are way fewer tabs going into the book now, and it is really starting to pick up. This is what I wanted going in, and now I am really getting into it. I feel like I am flying through this book much faster than I was at the beginning.

I'm trying so hard to like this book. The synopsis sounds so damn good and it made me so excited to pick this one up, but I am *struggling*. I'm actively annotating this one, which is a first for me, but when I go to do my full review I want to be able to find the actual quotes.

THE REVEALS. THE TWISTS. THIS BOOK IS SO GOOD.

I am enjoying this book waaaayyyyy more than I thought I was going to. I love Greek mythology stories, but I won't lie, when I heard this one was being published, it didn't really pique my interest. But I got a copy in my OwlCrate box and decided to go ahead and crack it open. And now I need more. Like, I'm completely wrapped up in the story already and I'm barely into the book. I just hope the momentum keeps going.
