The writing style in this one is very straightforward. Kind of choppy. This is not a poetically crafted novel. I had to go back and ask myself at one point “Was that whole paragraph a run-on sentence?!” I’ve re-read certain parts adding the punctuation I would have used (Being an editor must be frustrating work!) The word pathological is used four times in the first 10 pages 😩

I love Koontz! His stories are always so bizarre. This one isn’t as disturbing as I’d like though…and I actually have no idea where it’s going yet. Hoping it picks up pace soon because I’d like to finish today and start something new!

Ok, made it to part 2!

I’m only trucking through this one so I can add it to my challenge. The characters are a little unbelievable. I think this would make a great mini series on TV, but it’s losing its momentum.

This one got SO many good reviews!!
The writing is just VERY straightforward. There’s absolutely zero prose or illustrative language. While the plot may be creative, the writing is really dry. I’m not a DNF girl but I’m struggling 😭

I think this is going to be a good one!
I’m already wishing it was a show so I could watch it with my husband. Off the jump, as a mother….terrifying. But I can immediately put myself in the main character’s shoes and if you’re asking…would I do it? Yes. In a heartbeat. Giving very ‘walk through fire’ vibes.

I had to put this one down to read a few Christmas gifts but today I picked it back up.
Totally sucked in.
Bone collecting?! Teeth trading?! An angel captivated by a human that works as her devil dad’s foot-soldier?! Love it.

My son gave me this for Christmas. I’ll finish it today. YA who-done-it. Just love that my babies are buying me books!
I’ll happily read anything they give me!
