I am reading this for the September meeting of my book group. I plan to take it slowly but that may be difficult as it is very readable and fascinating!

I am returning this ebook unfinished because the color plates were not included.

I just do not enjoy war stories. Not going to continue reading it.

After reading a few chapters, I am abandoning this one. It’s not offensive. Just did not pique my interest.

This book is difficult to read. It jumps around in time and place and I am not always sure who “he” is, who she abandoned, who abandoned her, who she blames. When she blames herself or someone else or someone else’s race, is she justified or is it her mental illness speaking, or both or neither? I am glad it is a short book!

Another book that jumps around in time and place and from whose point of view. Also characters that are not particularly admirable. What is wrong with my choosing mechanism?

This book does not have me very engaged. It’s short, so perhaps I will stick with it.

I can only read about one chapter a day of this book. Our history is beyond horrific.
