Okay so far..

What a beautifully written story. I love the characters, the setting, the dialogue, and the pacing. It's a joy to read.

Uhm... What ever in the world am I reading? I'm finding this book to be, well, odd. I'm not sure that it's speaking to me. Nonetheless, I shall forge ahead.

Well... It's all becoming a bit overwritten. For the past 10 pages I have been growing impatient with the text, wondering when it might be done. Grrr.

The story is building...
This is my second book in a row the fictionalizes a rather recent event. I'm not sure how these novels are choosing me.

So far, an easy read.

Clever premise, but it feels as if it's wearing thin. Good prose with occasional passages that are lovely. Let's see what chapter 5 brings.

Interesting turn...

A decent story overall (the large arc), but at times I have found it hard to suspend my disbelief. So many coincidences. Too many. And the life of young Theo in Vegas? Hmmm. Hard to imagine. Now that he's and adult, maybe I'll be more open to what's going on with him. And, oh: sooooo many words. Too many.
