Another chapter packed full of world building and more glimpses into the person who is our main character, Taya. We also get the objective, what Taya's focus will be with it essentially being a search and find case for a client she's worked with in the past.

World building into the debate on vampires and human rights, humanity moving to Mars, advertisements, and a glimpse into Taya's childhood.

"Hello. I'm Enforcer Taya Mint, and you fucked up, Gerry."

Enjoyable first chapter that does an excellent job of painting what these megastructures in this world look like. Disparity between the upper middle class and poor (which I think is funny how the upper middle is the high point of this scale and not the 1% elite).

Still trying to understand this vampire angle and how it works within this setting.

I have extremely high hopes for this as Hyperion is my favorite book of all time.
