Really frustrating to read a book that’s so interested in the power and/or impotence of language while at the same time being so careless with its own economy of language. And for a book based on polyphony to have all its characters sound the same. Such an interesting premise and plot but just why

This is really bad and i am not having a good time

obv taking huge issue w his analysis of Arab/First Nations societies but overall a very interesting book on psychoanalysis, (self) consciousness, and neurosis in light of diminishing religious/spiritual traditions in culture
