Still struggling to get into this, but by p. 250 felt too far along to DNF 😭 luckily, until p. 275 it’s been easy to set down & pick back up later bc so little has happened with plot, new characters/character dvlpmnt, much worldbuilding or any fantasy systems. Will see if I finish or end up DNFing

Felt like an appropriate time to read this one.
I love a non-fiction with tons of references and citations, and so far this one is extraordinarily thorough and informative.

I wasn’t paying much attention to the cover at the library and didn’t realize this was a manga edition of a novella. Hopefully won’t regret not reading the novella first, but the art looks too cool to wait to pick that one up 😩
