This is not your typical celebrity memoir. I had no idea the amount of trauma she had experienced in her life, and now I am very invested in her story. The first five chapters were a lot of name-dropping and a bit unrelatable (she was born in Hollywood and seemed to be handed bookings since 3 months old, never went to full time school, grew up with a hippie mother, and running in celebrity circles was all she knew).

Incredibly unforgettable. At a loss for words after the perfectly written final chapter of this touching story. A MUST READ.

I loved the last chapter’s descriptive imagery. The city was rebuilt from what it was during the destructive times of WW2. I loved how she described walking along the Seine and how the city turns golden at dusk. “I had forgotten how gently time passes in Paris. As lively as the city is, there’s a stillness to it a peace that lures you in. In Paris, with a glass of wine in your hand, you can just be.”
