I purchased this book on 2/7/2012. I’m finally getting around to reading it

“Everything about speculative masculinity fights against solidarity. But there’s no true liberation without it.“

I purchased this book, a hardback copy signed by the author, after attending an event last summer with her at a local bookstore. I am finally getting around to reading it.

Such chaste horniness…

I have been looking forward to reading this book all year.

I chose this book because it was one of the qualifying books for my Goodreads Fall Challenge. I chose it specifically because it was written by Ukrainian authors. I didn't know this when I started reading but quickly I realized it is about a girl and her mother vacationing in Alupka, Crimea. I have vacationed in Alupka and there is so much about the setting that is familiar.

He laughed at that: post-trauma! Anyone who named it that didn’t really understand it. There is no post. There’s only trauma. Over and over. Time moves on, but you stay there forever. No wonder there was no treatment. How do you treat what is now called your life?
