This is so charming and relaxing so far.

Second time I'm attempting this and I'm up to where I (unintentionally) abandoned it last time (I sat it down and never got back to do ~ days turned into months and two years went by...). I can see why I got stuck the first time ~ I'm a fair way in and yet I feel like I still don't really know how all these threads relate. I am hoping I get hooked soon and fall in love with this like so many others.

Just read this as the opening to a review on here: This book was amazing! Sure it's young adult and that lowered my opinion of it from the beginning but I have to say I am pleasantly surprised.

I was liking this a lot but I wish it weren't so self-help-y/preachy. So many tangents going on about being empowered as a woman, etc -- I just want to read the story not self help advice (and get back to Lincoln).

I thought I would be liking this more after loving Cruel Beauty so much

rereading so I can finish reading the entire series. forgot how much fun and hilarity is in these books. also, reading something light as uni stress and academic articles are no fun at all right now...

I really like this, the magic and the premise and the intrigue but I also find it really slow going and wish I felt more of that pull to get back into it and charge on ahead.

So good! The premise sounded a little ordinary but the prose is gorgeous and it's so easy to get sucked into this story. Loving all the travel and beaches. Fingers crossed this is a 5 star read for me
