Wow, Stephen Graham Jones (sadly no relation!) is quickly becoming my favorite author. This super short early work proves his skilled hand at building up the outcast and the ethereal existence where people begin to fall through the cracks. This is harrowing, shocking, sad, and never, ever takes it’s for off the gas. Jones hits endings like no author working in genre. He never fizzles! Can’t wait to check out more
