This book right here is why I will always be a subscriber to Kindle Unlimited. I have made several recipes out of this book. My husband has enjoyed all. Best part…it was part of my subscription!

10/5 stars. This book is a must read! I learned so much from this book and made notes and highlights left and right.

When you know one hour in that a book is so bad that you know you don’t want to waste one more brain cell despite getting the book for free.

Note to author: If you were trying to pay homage to Jane Eyre, you failed MISERABLY!

Highly predictable, but I am really enjoying the ride.

10/5 stars. I absolutely love studying anything related to AL and the Civil War. I have read well over 100 books on the subject. This is one of the best and engaging reads. The author went into detail compared to other books on the subject that I found myself highly engaged with the book.

I haven’t had a book piss me off in a long time and this is a work of fiction. Bravo!

This was an AMAZING listen with phenomenal twists. It did have a small period where I thought it dragged, I gave it a pass for a great twist ending.

Such promise for a fun creepy read that has come off as sophomoric and difficult to keep my attention. A waste of my money that reminds me why I need to start using my library again. So far a hard one star from me that I don’t see changing.

This book needs to be commissioned for a movie immediately. In a world of cookie cutter books, this book is a muffin.

Really hope they continue this wonderful series! This one was fun. I loved I had to force myself to pace listening to it.

I was so excited for this book. What had started off as a book with deep promise has become just a silly read. Very rapidly becoming highly discouraged to even want to finish it despite needing it for a year end challenge.

Good god this woman is AMAZING! I could not stop listening to this book. Normally, I make myself limit my listen time. I couldn’t with this book. At home, in the car, etc. I listened to it in 2 days. At first her narration drove me crazy, but then I slid into it. The chapters on her mother’s death. 😭😭😭😭😭

Word of warning…if you are not religious, this book will be very difficult! It frequently (like every freaking page) refers to some religious aspect.

Absolutely a horrible book. Abandoned towards end, but should have been abandoned long before that.

Hands down…the worst of the .5 books. It is highly apparent LC is scraping the bottom of the barrel with some of these books.

Colleen Coble is a very hit or miss author with me. I have read books of hers that I couldn't put down and books that it took everything for me to get through it. This book was part of the latter group. For the life of me, I couldn't get into the characters of this book. I found myself having to read and reread sections because I had either skimmed over or forgotten what I had read due to a lack of interest.
