Wow.

Very thorough, though not what I consider a page turner. It seems to be well researched & written, though I concede that I don't possess sufficient knowledge base to objectively evaluate the subject matter.

Delightful book by Mike Rowe. I enjoy his podcast, & wanted this book to learn more. I didn't want the book to end, but it's ending was perfect!

Phenomenal book! The front inside flap accurately describes it as Deadpool meets Captain America. Best did a great job explaining the sense of humor that military & first responders use to deal with stressful situations. I highly recited recommend, especially for military & first responders.

As expected, this was a great book from a learned military professional. This should be studied by both mid-level military leaders, & elected officials.

Very thorough history up through Aegon III. Very detailed, but not quite as quick of a read as the first 5 books, though that's probably by design since this is from the perspective of a maester.

Interesting look at 16th century England.

This is an excellent, gripping book. It is hard to read, because knowing it's based on a true story, it's hard to accept that any human can treat another human in such an inhumane way. It is a great story of how strong the human spirit can be, & overcome such atrocity.

Fun read, great beginning to a series.

Great read. Well written, very engaging.

Excellent, as Brown always is. I was a little slower getting into the story, but after 100 pages, I was sucked into the story.
