Can't resist... I'm treating it like an episode of the West Wing, but with a terrible cast instead and dialogue written by Michael Bay instead of Aaron Sorkin.

My year of reading a lot of teen-lit begins...

Yay! for mindless books about football and the pursuit of excellence!

Might be the worst book I have ever read and not wanted to stop reading. I want to hate it. I want to be embarrassed by posting that I'm reading this. But I don't hate it and I don't care. It's either terrible or great.

I can't decide if this book is terrible or great... but I also can't stop reading it.

I've got the hardcover and the audiobook (read by Gaiman) for when I run. I'm re-reading everything I just listened to on my last run. This is awesome. This will definitely be a read aloud for my children AND possibly for use with my middle schoolers.

Reading it out loud to my kids.

Reading it because It's being added to my grade level curriculum next year.

This book is absolutely awful, but I'm going to power through because a) it fits perfectly with the next unit I am teaching and b) there is some good information in between the passages about how awesome the author and her children are.
