I had a hard time getting into this book--out it down, read something else and now I'm back. It's getting better.

I like the earlier Scarpetta novels better than the later ones. Most of the characters have become very negative, which makes it very hard to sympathize when they are in danger. I'm sad to see the relationship between Scarpetta and Benton and Scarpetta and Lucy disintegrate so much. You just can't trust anyone in these novels anymore.

I switched over to the current Patricia Cornwell novel---this is kinda slow-moving.
