talk about being sucked in...

I was wondering if i should dnf, since i haven't read fantasy in quite some time and was finding it a little difficult to keep engaged with the world being imagined, but things seem to be picking up so... let's see!

Absolutely loved the titular story - the protagonist's voice is refreshingly beautiful and comes through so well.

was not in the mood for the story on the teahouse - it felt unnecessarily long and meandered a little too much - could easily also be that i wasn't in the mood to think too deeply about the themes.

enjoyed elephant at sea so much, so fun and witty!

How is this woman able to do this to the english language - i am stumped. what kind of sorcery is this?!
