Reading this book that's set in 2026, in the actual year of 2026, with water shortages (where corpus christi is about to run out of water in July 2026), hits really badly.

Reading two dystopian novels at ONCE isn't helping my cause.

This book seems to be about Fern, the rattkin, not Viv, the ogre. I am not sure if I like Fern well enough to devote a whole book. I am hoping that the side characters will redeem it but I am not certain.

Confession: I've not read Huck Finn at all. But James is a well written book though I had a tough time understanding the lingo Jim was using in the beginning.

OMG we get it, there's a 15 year age difference. Why do we need to be told of this every other page?

Did I know this was going to be a whodunit? Absolutely not! But weirdly enough, I am enjoying it.

The poor author. Uses so many em-dashes that it could almost get flagged as AI but I know it isn't.

Of all the things I read the detaching and reattaching the hand is what gave me nightmares???

I am so glad that the narration pauses aren't nearly as often anymore. It is a testament to the author that i keep giving this series a 5 star despite the awful narration!

OMG this is so good! The narrators, all POV having separate narrators, are amazing! Daisy Jones and the six vibes, and its like I am watching a documentary.

He's got a massive member and she's got a fake baby. Like wth is even happening? This can't be the continuation of the previous book, can it?
