Very interesting so far! I haven't read a lot of scholarly feminist and queer theory since college (lots of things influenced by feminist and queer theory, but not straight up research and new theory) so I'm finding this fascinating and engaging and I wish I had a classroom full of gender studies students to discuss this with!

True fact: I was semi embarrassed to post that I was reading this until I read this in the intro: "to me, dismissing fashion as silly or unimportant seems like a denial of history and frequently a show of sexism - as if something that's traditionally a concern of women isn't valid as a field of academic inquiry" thanks, Tim Gunn, I knew I liked you
