I'm sure the Native representation and content in this book is wildly problematic, but aside from that, this is such a pivotal book in the series.

unabashedly a favorite - much more a four volume book than a four book series. i am so delighted to be back in this world.

It's a little challenging listening to this after my Will Henry's death, but character Will Henry (and Dr. Warthrop's tone when he calls the name) is so different that it's not too bad. Plus, this book is *so* good (and thinking about what's to come in the series) that it's worth it.

This may have been better the second time, and on audio.

I could have gone fishing and had this whole conversation with a halibut, that would have been a lot easier...
