I'm not a cat person or a book series reader, but I wanted to see what the hype was all about.

So far, it's okay. The cat might grow on me. Tutorial levels are always my least favorite parts of video games anyways.

Annnnnnnd this is all I read on my five day vacation lol. I'm also regretting not saving this until fall, because it's so cozy and cute as a bakery book, but whatever I'm enjoying it so far.

Yay this seems like a very cute little YA fantasy so far :)

A lot of the points she's making feel repetitive, but gosh her voice is just so fun.

I watched a documentary about Dr. Ruth ages ago and was impressed enough with this funny Jewish grandma sex therapist to buy a bunch of her used books and am just now getting around to reading them. She's still very funny!

Honestly the spicy scenes are knocking this down a star for me. Kinda cringe tbh.

This story is super interesting to get into so far. I like it!

There's, like, no focus here lol. All of these tangents are massive distractions from the overall plot.

So far, this book is "being poor is terrible. Being a woman is terrible. Let's just drink. And also this little girl is learning about her period."

SAD BOOK. Very sad and dark and heavy book!! I was not expecting this much darkness!!

Gosh idk what it is, but I adore Lisa See's writing. She effortlessly drops you into the world and characters seemingly and introduces the history so naturally

I'm not sure if I want to commit to this as a current read because I'm not a fan of the nonlinear storytelling, but my other audiobook is in limbo hold so we'll see how far we get on this one.
