This is taking a really long time to be sad. I'm at 3x speed and it still feels super sluggish.

I've been interested in the concept of intuition for a bit now and this book caught my eye at the library. So far, so good! I like the author's voice and the commitment to balance rational logic with the woo-woo nature of intuition.

Also I always have a small appreciation for self-help books that actually drop "woo-woo" as a phrase lol.

The author is coming to town for a talk so I thought I'd read the book beforehand in case I wanted to attend. So far I think it's doing a good job framing these kids' lives to invoke empathy, but I think it should also be acknowledged that a lot of these troubles can also be experienced by cisgender youth except with the added hardship of needless discrimination, which I believe is the point of the book lol.

I'm still thinking about the Booktok person I saw complaining about how boring this book was because there's too much science and, once again, I'm convinced Booktok folks don't actually enjoy reading. This is incredibly digestible for a heavy science book for non-science people! I'm having a lot of fun!
