This book is killing my soullllll I need it to be done

I am just so bored of this book but I need to finish it... don't wanna dnf but idgaf about Eve Babitz and her escapades... Shocking and upsetting

THIS IS SO GOOD AND SO SO FUNNY AND WELL WRITTEN,

ESPECIALLY AFTER THE OTHER BOOK I JUST READ, which is literally just the sort of enlightened, self righteous book the characters in Colored Television would write.

How is everyone in this book so one dimensional while also being so aware of every trope and stereotype ever

UK Pakistani ex Muslim goes to Iraq to save ISIS brides not knowing a single thing about Iraq or ISIS or brides. This is so deeply embarrassing

She just unironically said "my breasts, juicy and wobbly as caramel panna cottas, swelled over the v-neck of my jumper." I couldn't believe it. I fear this might be a dnf.

I dont mean to be a hater but why do all the UN officials in this book speak and act like they're in middle school
