I really hate the book-within-a-book format when the protagonist’s life would be immeasurably better if they’d just read the whole freaking book! Your one goal in life should be to forge ahead and finish this sole source of primary evidence and instead they read through one chapter a day for increasingly poor reasons. Nevermind it’s all your boss and coworkers are constantly bringing up! Ugh.
