I had forgotten how much I love Chiaverini's writing style! It's so engaging and emersive yet rich with historical detail. I'm loving 1914 🔥

One of my literature professors decided that it was not fair that only younger kiddos get read-alouds in class and decided to add this beautiful verse novel to our class routine.

The story is so bittersweet and thoughtful, and I love immersing myself in it for few minutes each week.

I am enjoying this play too much! It's crazy how universally appealing the drama that Shakespeare captures is. Just finished reading and re-reading Act 1 for a literature class.

Goodness, this book has had me both laughing and crying! It's been an excellent review and expansion on a current class I'm wrapping up, but also has so many Martin Luther quotes in it that have me laughing at his audacity as well as smiling while seeing his growth. He was FAR from perfect, but his life is well-worth study.

I can't wait to read this book. :) I'm currently taking a class on the Reformation and Rise of Denominations with one of my favorite college professors, and it's been so fun to just chill and be a history nerd for a bit after taking so many theology and Bible courses the last two semesters!
