I’m starting to think that mouse’s mother is Jeffrey baines’s wife and that mouse is her step daughter.

I am truly not sure what the heck is going on. The writing in some stories is a bit different in the aspect that words that are said are only italicized instead of in quotes like normal. I think it’s because it’s either happening in someone’s head or it happened long time ago. It also does not help that all the characters are unlikable. Just need to finish this book and call it a day.

This book is really frustrating in the sense that it seems predictable. Either Sadie is losing her marbles and like an idiot refuses to get checked or Camille is dressing up as Sadie.

Camille needs a job and to move on with her life instead of chasing a 40 something year old married man.

I think we have quite the unreliable main character. We also occasionally follow the most unrealistic and shallow minded Camille who seems to be aiming for Will (It’s making me think that her timeline is before they moved to Maine aka the affair) and mouse which I would not be surprised if It’s Sadie’s past.

We shall see what happens but this is looking to be a 1-2 star so far.

Agatha Christie with a twist. Loving this book so far. It does feel like a modern twist of Agatha Christie and I didn’t hear that we are following the editor who is reading Pünd’s investigation.

One of the best books I’ve read in a long while. This might be a new all time favorite. It is super rare for me to actually laugh out loud in a book. I think this will be a five star read.

Naomi’s betrayal was foreseeable, but right now I am trying to just figure out what is happening. My theory is that Naomi is Ruth somehow and that Ruth and Amanda’s stories were happening at different time (maybe years apart). I just hope It’s not that because it will drag down my rate.

I picked up this book after reading Thirteen. The author is still doing the build up in anticipation for us to know how Amanda and Ruth connect. I must say I’m slightly annoyed about the inconsistent way the author wrote the time and dates. (Ex: seven twelve am and other is 9:13m. In page 88 he writes the date as “9/11 “and “nine/ eleven”). Small preventable mistakes disrupts my reading flow.

So, we follow two men in this book. Cain the serial killer and Eddie the lawyer. I am only listening to the audiobook so there was some initial confusion thinking both men were the same person. Also, I do love the law and order aspect to it but I must say as someone who works in the legal field I can spot the inaccuracies which can be disappointing. I do suspect this will be a 4 ⭐️ read.

First book by Steve Cavanagh for me and so far I like it. It feels a bit confusing but I think It’s because the back and forth of the main character.

This book is getting worse. Chloe is a brat, richard is an asshole, Joanne is a spineless doormat. I feel bad for Evie.

Everyone in this book is so frustrating!

Main character seems super thick. I am at the point where Chloe is shopping for her upcoming birthday and I can just tell that all the answers she is giving MC are lies and she is probably allergic to the cake then she will cry to her dad.

I got a good feeling that this will be a five star read or close to it. I am loving the premise of a count down and that we are following multiple girls going on their journey.

I stopped on page 57 where it hints that there is more to this power than electricity by showcasing the eels controlling their prey’s. Loving it so far. Audiobook is amazing!

The book is still in the set up 2 hours later and I am unsure of what exactly is going on. We follow two women heading to Denver for their own reasons only to text some of their close ones that they met the same guy and not even take any calls.

It is screaming “something dodgy is happening”. Curious to find out more.

One small theory comes to mind of what if Nina’s killer is Thomas. He came back to see the crime scene during Alice’s party and grabbed the spare key. We never get confirmation that Helen mentions him I don’t exactly recall or he might be faking his identity for all we know.

I am on the final stretch of the book. While
I still don’t have content answers I am curious about the Ben and Tim theory that Alice is putting but I wonder if we are gonna get another plot twist which would be needed.

Not sure how I feel about the blooming “romance” between tom and Alice.

Nothing is what it seems. I am starting to wonder if the author will pull an Agatha Christie and have “The Circle” being the culprit behind Nina’s murder. Some twist of they all were behind it.

SPOILERS (+ theory)
I just got to the part where Alice is looking for a key for Leo’s study drawers. That, coupled with what Thomas (PI) said about Nina had an affair with an unknown person is making me think that Leo perhaps was connected to Nina. The PI said that the murderer would want to come back. I wonder if that’s Leo.

So far so good. I really am enjoying the premise of the book so far. I am not the biggest fan of the narrator, while she isn’t the fastest on the uptake I think she will be fine.

Leo is definitely what he seems. The confrontation between him and Alice made me certain that he is hiding something bigger.

Spoilers -
Nadine murdered Kieran which like so unbelievable but almost as unbelievable that Hannah murdered two people and is living in their home. Hannah’s brilliant idea of marching into Nadine’s home after she killed someone and threaten her is both delusional and insane and will get her either behind bars or dead.

looks like Hannah is a psycho just as I predicted. I did find the plot twist welcoming but I thought it was executed in a very boring way. I think it could have been a bit more theatrical. I still find her and Nadine very pathetic.

I think one of my biggest drawbacks in this book that none of these characters are very lovable. I do not feel attached to any of them.

I am almost half way through the book and I must say it follows a basic premise of a plane Jane who “wants to be the other women” which is overused.

The main character “Hannah” seems to be a bit psychotic and “Nadine” seems to be a shallow housewife.

I hope the author can turn this around and make it more interesting.

26% in. I am enjoying the book so far. I am such a sucker for time travel stories or any sort of time manipulation. I am liking our main character she is fierce and strong but in a very realistic way. She started her sleuthing and I cannot wait to see where this goes. I also appreciate how the author didn’t prolong the “this is a dream” arc.
