Colleen. Again, I almost laughed. That he should call me girl, when all my life I had wished to be nothing more and nothing less?

It was a name that pleased me about as well as my lord pleased him.

This being, between other things, about arts, IA, capitalism, make it a type of fiction I enjoy

People seem to believe in a big-daddy-God(..) in a kind of super-person (..) believe God is another word for nature. And nature means just about anything they happen not to understand or feel in control of.

Some say God is a spirit, a force, an ultimate reality. Ask 7 people what all of that means and you’ll get 7 different answers. So what is God? Just another name for whatever makes you feel special and protected?

Love the use of a language we don't know, so that the mc can later be surprised at what was really said haha, also a few words I did not encounter before, like "inimical", how peculiar
