I've always been kind've obsessed with success, naturally this book has come up in the topic of many conversations. I remain hesitant to Malcolm Gladwell's books because although they are always well written, there are many counter arguments to his theories. Nevertheless, I'm always open to new ideas - wrong or right.

Originally I had planned to re-read this before the movie even came out. I faintly remembered the story, but recalled with vivid detail how much I admired Fitzgerald's writing. After reading through the novel again, that aspect still remains true. To anyone thinking about giving this a second run, I highly recommend it

Re-reading this before the highly anticipated movie comes out. I had last read this in high school and there was very little I remembered, just that I liked it. Reading it now, it's all coming back why I loved it. I still remember this line from pg. 59 "everyone suspects himself of at least one of the cardinal virtues, and this is mine. I am one of the few honest people that I have ever known."
