I’m crying Ron Perlman was a perfect casting for how the narrator reads Nino that’s so funny

After watching the movie I speculated Driver may be one of Ryan Gosling’s many autistic characters. I am not even halfway through the book and it has all but been confirmed.

Sophie getting irrationally angry and not realizing it’s jealousy and then throwing a tantrum she’s very aware is silly is so relatable

I love this book so much it’s so cozy

Sophie is so funny because the universe tries so so hard to tell her something important and personal about herself and she goes out of her way to ignore it at every turn because she has this preconceived notion that she’s nothing special and won’t amount to much as the eldest daughter. It’s not exactly like subverting the chosen one trope but it hits similarly in a satisfying way I love her
