This is a strange trip back to my late teens and early 20s. It's funny but also cringe.

Reading this with my baby girl, and she's been connecting to the struggles and inner turmoil of Ramona. I had strong memories of this book-the egg incident being very clear in my mind - and the mom's apology still irks me because she brushes it all off.

Ugh. I'm ugly crying right now. This is a romantic comedy, but the sisters and their story have me so damn emotional 😭

I read the first 10 pages and immediately knew that I loved the MC. I'm laughing out loud over the dialogue.

I always get into the first few books of whatever this author is writing, but then I get pissed off when too many side characters/stories happen. This might happen with this series 😮‍💨 bc it took forever for me to get invested. Buuut at least it's unpredictable. 3/5 of my theories just got debunked.

I read the first and now I'm skipping around the order, and Lee Child got better with pacing and dialogue, so that is cool to see. My only problem so far has been Reacher's ability to find all this great coffee while on the run. It's always fresh and strong. I don't trust a British writer's opinion on this.

This is the cutest book! It uses romantic tropes in a smart, fresh way. I love everyone in this book, and as a movie fan, I love all the homages. The friends are fun and real. There's no woman on woman hate. The protagonist has DEPTH and her friends call her out when she's wrapped up in her stuff, and she listens (somewhat).

I don't trust Locke. I think Macdoc is planning a rebellion with the bad prince. And I'm predicting that Taryn is in love with the bratty prince, but he's obsessed with Jude. And Vivi just showed her weakness and it's definitely going to bite her in the ass.

A lot of people said that they struggled with the first few pages, and I get that. But it does get really good....glad I kept reading.

I can already tell that this book is going to mess me up. My heart is beating a million miles a minute after what happened to Blue. Ahhhhhhhhghgggg!

Did I get a bad copy? There are character mix-ups and inconsistencies . I went back and double checked but Hawk died and it was Perry offering the job to Christina.

I'm not sure of anything. Ugh. I read it all and got so absorbed, but I feel like I hate myself for it. And am I suffering from 2nd hand Stockholm syndrome or is Michael actually okay?

I'm not liking the main protagonists. Although Christina has her moments, she is a little forgettable in this story if only because she doesn't have a lot to do besides be (justifiably) scared and cry. Michael is a sick man. I'm rooting for all the men to go away. Not sure how this was considered a romance-suspense.

This book has a lot of surprises for its genre so far. No evil girlfriends. No dumb jocks. No attempted rapes. Aaaand one of the main romantic interests is deaf and in a good relationship (but he's feeling oh so guilty about being tempted). It feels fresh to read this.

Whoa. I thought this was going to be different- maybe cheesy or badly written-but I really liked the first two chapters. I got sucked in and it's over 600 pages, which I love because then I don't have such a book hangover at the end.
