Sarah Gabriel is on page 106 of 256 of Everyday Intuition: What Psychology, Science, and Psychics Can Teach Us About Finding and Trusting Our Inner Voice
Disorganized in its thought processes, poorly edited, and the author is very self-contradictory. But dang, if that neuroscience doesn't have me gripped. More writing on interoception and less on current events, please.

This book is one of the most irritating I've read in a long time. It goes from "ooh!" to "ugh," in the space of a sentence. If she'd shut up about politics and stick to the psychology and neuroscience it would have been so much better.

It just took me 45 minutes to read and process 6 pages. Then my husband and I had a half hour conversation about objectivism, subjectivism, and nihilism. This book is incredible.

"Had it ever been more than a convention — a comfortable set of blinkers, an agreed mode of wishful thinking, which excluded from our view, the full strangeness and malevolence of the universe we are compelled to inhabit?"

So far this is just a'ight. Not nearly as good as Gloria Furman's Treasuring Christ When Your Hands Are Full. Parts are good, but I resent so many books for women being written below a high school reading level, and it's reminding me why I generally dislike Books For Women™.
