we had to read a bit from the beginning of this for a uni course and i was going to power through the whole thing, but i've just got so much else on my plate right now, and this one didn't manage to get me all that excited to continue on with it, so... maybe some other day?

surprisingly, i'm not hating this??? going into this, i guess i had such low expectations and i was sorta dreading reading this again so soon, but now that i'm doing it, i'm reminded of the fact that the odyssey is really not THAT bad. like, sure, the first time around i didn't like it as much as i liked the iliad, but i still didn't dislike it, it's p alright.

odysseus is for shit, though. i'm not budging on that.

i JUST read this last year, but now i have to read it again for a class i’m taking... not really sure how excited i am abt that since i didn’t particularly love it the first time around and wasn’t exactly thinking of picking it up again anytime soon!

Just finished reading Wake... What a beautiful exploration of grief.

rereading this in preparation for the Netflix adaptation... so excited! this used to be one of my favourite books around grade 8

just finished Part 1... like with the two other books of Waters I've read, I'd wish nothing more than to just finish this in one sitting (if only you could put life on hold and just read, read, read!) bc this is so exciting(!!!) and I'm so mad on behalf of the protag

the plot twist also reminded me of another book I've read (Wildthorn by Jane Eagland) though I have a feeling Fingersmith is gonna be even better
