Sometimes… I have really questionable taste in books. Sometimes I love a good twisted story. The writing style here is not that great, which I always struggle with. But I’m invested now. Pray for me.

I love Elara

Can one be in a reading slump and simultaneously obsessed with the book they’re reading? Cause I think that’s me right now.

Tomorrow, I’m about to reread this 30 page chapter, because good lord there’s so much to discern!

Was it worth losing a breast though? I know options were limited, but losing it because of Maxixe? Unjust.

“Only people who think they have a future fear death.” I’m not ready to finish this world. I am also preparing myself for heart break. I just- the message and purpose of this entire series will forever set it apart from anything I have or ever will read.

There are so many good philosophical literary references. I love anyone who appreciates Camus.

Now that I’m past the half-baked intro, this book is actually a fun lil read.

I want this book to be good. It’s so highly praised. And I still have high hopes… but the set up for the premise of this book is horribly half-baked. Especially when considering what this author is known for. The reasoning for this story is being set up in such a terribly cliche way, with very basic form. For such a deep topic… it deserves more effort and depth.

I had zero intention of annotating this book, especially because I did it with my last read (a labor of love, but it absolutely deserved annotating). As I started reading this though, some damn good lines had me wondering if I should. THEN there was a Slaughterhouse Five reference, so now I’m annotating 😅
