Not my favorite book. Many of the ideas presented by the authors are so foreign and so different from my own theological thinking that they are hard for me to embrace.

This was probably the worst book I have ever forced myself to read. It was difficult to read because of her poor sentence structure and excessive use of commas. COmplex ideas were made even more complex by her poor explanations or lack of definitions. The topic itself comes across as unbelievable and irrelevant because of the sources she choses to reference. Wacth "13" on Netflix instead.

Gandhi stops him. "Doesn't the New Testament say if an enemy strikes you on the right cheek you should offer him the left?" Andrews mumbles that he thought the phrase was used metaphorically. "I'm not so sure," Gandhi replies. "I suspect he meant you must show courage - be willing to take a blow, several blows, to show you will not strike back nor will you turn aside."

I'm loving the way Hamilton breaks down these half-truths and provides true, scriptural understanding behind the real truths found in the Bible.

Some of these prayers are not applicable to my relationship with my husband or the man he is. I think when I finish reading through the first time, I'll modify them to be more aligned with the prayers I carry in my heart for my sweet hubby.

I actually remember (now) seeing a movie based on this book a couple of years ago. But I can't remember the ending - so no spoilers here!
