AHHHH I can't stand the narrator but the wait for the book on libby is months away 😫

The story is easy to follow, the formatting is also easy to follow, the way that Celie writes and how Alice shows this is kind of hard to follow. Which is great but my brain has to work a little more

Effy sure has luck in attracting all the creepy men. Also, Asa fellow chronic over thinker, Effy takes the cake!

I hate it when I'm not the biggest fan of the narrator, but the story is so good!

A lot of f*** in the first chapter ... yep, this is an adult novel hahaha

OMG I called it again! It's obvious (for me at least) on who Death is and it's pretty funny how obvious it is

So, a murder mystery as well? Again, interesting

You do not need to tell me who the love interest is. I clocked that at the very start. Again, interesting and a little weird. I shall suspend my disbelief and go with the flow (I can see where people may dislike the book now)

So ... it may be that Lucy Foley is not for me. I think that her writing style lowkey annoys me, but maybe I will still like this book more than The Guest List. We'll see.


The narrators having a French accent doesn't help be feel the seriousness of the premise lol. It gives me a sort of exaggerated vibe. Wonder how any French person felt listening to this book? Hahaha

I'm giving Lucy Foley another chance bc I am sure I just did not like the characters in the other book hahahaha
