Getting better. Still a bit slow and still more Piper angst.

This one is starting a bit slower than the others and Piper’s self pity is getting a bit old by this point.

The world in this book is confusing, which I could handle if it’s for a purpose and eventually resolves itself. It is set in a future with some great catastrophe that has been blamed on machines so everyone has decided to emulate a time without them. Apparently the 18th century?!? (Printing Presses are bad,Yo ) Apparently future society also thought women’s rights were something to do away with as well.

Good, so far. I like how quirky the characters are. They seem very real. You know someone like them but they are still unique. The middle aged romance writer who is single with no kids. The young woman with too much plastic surgery and an unhealthy obsession with Instagram. Her husband who just wishes she was the girl he knew from high school without the fake boobs and puffy lips.
