Part-way through reading this book. Dislike the character of Jamini intensely. This book is about the Bengali Hindu experience of partition. Went into this novel not really thinking about it, as a result it initially seemed like the Muslim League, Jinnah and Muslims in general are the perpetrators of all violence. So it's crucial to understand which viewpoint/experience of partition is portrayed here.
