My favorite thing about Odette and Noah and how hard they fight. Themselves, what they really want deep in their hearts, for each other... It's all there, and I loved every moment of watching these two find their way in the world.

My favorite part about writing a secret romance story is...well, all the sneaking around! It's so much fun finding ways for the characters to be together without anyone else finding out. Though, I do love those little moments when side characters begin to piece it all together and the main characters start to sort of freak out because they realize someone is on to them.

I feel like I borrow characteristics from people in my life in 85% of my characters. I'm not sure if Fox or Lilah fit into that though. They seem to be their own people entirely, and I love that about them.

I’ve been called a “good boy” a lot in my life, but I’ve never loved it as much as I do now.

My favorite thing about Fox and Lilah is that they just seem to get each other. Even when they don't make total sense on paper—Fox is such a sweet, Southern gentleman and Lilah is a bit abrasive—they still work perfectly together.

Every character I write has a bit of my husband's sense of humor in them. I think he's the funniest person ever, so that's not entirely surprising. We also tend to banter a lot, so that often makes its way into my books too.

Other than that, these characters are very different from anyone in my life. This town and the people in it are everything I wish my own small town were growing up.
