Whyyyyyy are authors writing books without quotation marks?? There’s so much dialogue already and I’m struggling 😔

You ever get through two chapters of a book and you already know it's going to be a book you'll obsess over? This should be the first example for that feeling.

WHY do male authors feel the need to include a scene where a female character masturbates and dies from eloctrocution?


And why is this author so scared of diving more into queer relationships (that only his female characters have), but is willing to badly write characters of color?
