Let the yearly Autumn reread begin again!

I'm barely at 50% and I've already cried 3 times. And these two are absolutely insufferable and have the most toxic relationship pretty much ever written, so why do I care? I wish I didn't care but I fear I am in trouble here and will now have to disappear entirely down a hole and not come back up again until I have finished every book in this series.

Hello Darkness, my old friend....

Was never interested in reading this book. It’s definitely a FOMO thing, just so I can understand what everyone keeps going on and on about! 🤣

I’m doing the LOTR Conqueror’s Challenge, so I figured it was time to finally read these books. Especially on my walk to Mordor. 😆

The writing is painfully bad. This may be headed to DNF land...

My daughter loves this series.

So, I’m doing this. Of course I am. I am full of dread.

So far, so meh. I checked out this book because it was immediately available and I thought it was the book recommended by a friend (spoiler: it wasn’t). And so far....

Nonfiction November, here I come!

Let's just walk down a 20+ year memory lane and make this an Anne Rice Halloween.

For my next Halloween book I'm going to re-read Interview with the Vampire and see what decidedly not 17 year old Jiffy thinks of one of 17 year old Jiffy's favorite books. Eeegh.

Wow - I'm really impressed so far. I guess the apple really doesn't fall that far from the tree.

The illustrations were great. The ending was a bit anti-climatic and confused the 6 year old.

I'm full into my Halloween reads now.

This was hands-down my favorite book as a child. I spent hours upon hours staring at the illustrations and they are just as magical and amazing now as they were then. Hands down the best illustrations ever.

I'm so grateful I was able to find a copy in decent condition so that I can share the magic with my child now.

2nd times a charm.....I hope.

I'm on the verge of DNF'ing this thing. Not because it's bad but because it's so very disappointing. 1.5x on audio, here we go.
