Chapter 17, for my own posterity, is the moment I said “oh, come ON!” in exasperation

I’m only a little more than a tenth of the way through this behemoth of a book, and I’m obsessed. It’s slow-going but I love these characters and this world-building.

Tbh so far I’m not impressed and kind of disappointed. The writing style is very tell not show, and for a book about the fae which I would expect to be much more flowery in style, this is disappointing. I also get annoyed with the main protagonist a lot: she keeps making bad choices that don’t make sense.
