Chapter 14 - Secrets.
I adore the way Louisa May Alcott describes simple details, such as the pet rat and the oldest son with a hunger for literature, to indicate the rats tend to eat Jo's manuscripts and books, it's hilarious.
Laurie and Jo's relationship is fantastic, so wholesome, so full of joy, I love them running down the hill after Jo delivers her manuscripts. "Brown straw hats grown in this road" lol
