I just finished reading The Secrets She Carried by Barbara Davis. And then I started this book and this has the same pretense as The Secret She Carried which is really disappointing the same author & the prologue starts with a person speaking from the grave and the person in the story their grandmother died without them realizing she was sick and now they need to go back home to deal with being left the land.

You really need to read this series back to back. I had read the 1st two back to back because I enjoyed them so much. I started to read this the 3rd one, but it starts right where the 2nd ended & could not remember all the details of the different families to be able to follow the story well enough. So I re-started the series, but that's ok, I'm enjoying it.

I finished Broken Limbs, Mended Hearts (Regina Jennings). This was a cute story, maybe a little too cute. It seemed juvenile to me. Maybe it is supposed to be old fashioned, but I have found others like Karen Witemeyer do old fashioned, cute better.

I did not get this read. I had borrowed the collection with 3 of Katherine Reay books & did not have time to read this last one before needing returned. I will try to get back to reading it at another time.

I had read Dear Mr Knightley 2 years ago and really enjoyed it. I decided to read it again with this collection.
I felt connected with Sam in the way she hid in her books. I suppose lots of book lovers tend to do this. I had forgotten how the book wrapped up and loved it again.

I have not finished this book yet. I ran out of time before I had to return to the digital library, so I have it on hold again. I was enjoying it.
