I don't remember much about this book from when I first read it, except for that I couldn't get back to it for a few days and then I got really really confused about what was going on...

Help, I'm so borrred. I hate to say it but this story is terrible.

This one looks...dumb, to be perfectly honest. Let's see.

I bought and read this book a good four years ago, and I remember being disappointed. I'm curious to see if anything's changed.

I'm enjoying Bennett's fresh take on the ENT series, I can't wait to get into this one.

That conversation between Archer and...well, spoilers. But anyway, it almost made me cry. Damn I'm already enjoying this book.

So the book is dedicated solely to the ENT art department, and begins with a quote from Jonathan Archer himself. I can already see that Bennett's writing style varies from that of Martin and Mangles.

Damn, that climax was good. I almost cried.

I think I've figured out what it is about the ENT relaunch novels. Trip's story is incredibly good, whenever each book spends a bit of time covering it the whole thing instantly gets better.

Okay, I think the massive time jumps are finally over and we see the conclusion of the war in 2160. Let's see.

I'm definitely enjoying this book more than the last, although the way each chapter jumps forward months and months at a time takes a bit of getting used to.

Susan calling him "Doctor" instead of "grandfather"? No no no no no, that's just wrong.

Ugh, I'm bored. So far this book has offered me nothing to get excited about, you'd be better off reading the story's script.

"A Dalek was rising from the water and advancing menacingly towards them."

Really? That's so anti-climatic for one of Doctor Who's most famous cliffhangers. I can rewrite that for you right now:

"An object was rising out of the water. As its' spherical top revealed itself, they came to the horrific realisation that it was familiar.

A Dalek faced them menacingly, clearly ready to orchestrate their demise."

Wait, how would "arriving at a time when their friends and family are all dead" create a paradox? If you find out when they died I guess it could cause a problem, but the book doesn't elaborate.

I was going to sit down and watch some Classic Who, but I stopped myself. "Why not read a Target novel for a story I haven't seen in a while?" I'm very curious to see how this goes.

Wait, there's 84 chapters in this book, and I'm only up to 43? It must be a chapter-a-page toward the end or something.

"And although no one laughed during the proceedings, Sato did come close to losing her composure when T'Pol got even with the Captain by cooling ordering him and Luitenant Reed off the bridge to fetch some Vulcan spice tea for "Captain" Sato, Luitenant O'Neil, and herself." Seriously, why all the hate? This is a good book!

My reading routine has fallen by the wayside lately, but it's time to redeem myself with a nice cuppa and some bikkies before work this arvo.

Wow, poor Archer. Part of me wishes that I could jump into the story and strangle everyone who blames him for the unpreventable deaths of others.

Wow, this book is monstrously long and got terrible reviews. Also, the paperback font is awful. I really hope I'm not making a mistake investing myself in this.

I'm actually enjoying this more than I thought I would, it's actually quite a good plot.

Ooh, some genuine tension! Definitely something that The Good That Men Do was lacking.
