I am reading this book along with my cousin in Texas and we are discussing it chapter by chapter in our morning phone calls. Those discussions lead, of course, to the Book of Revelation itself (which we'll be tackling before the summer ends) and so it's not a quick read. It is, however, a lovely read, Elaine Pagels at her best and her best is better than just about anything. I am definitely an Elaine Pagels fan
