"He knew by instinct" can only be used one time as a major plot device. By the third use you've really undermined a perfectly acceptable teen dystopia zombie thriller.

Started this with zero expectations or knowledge of what to expect and I'm enthralled. Great audiobook too, fantastic narration.

If you felt like what World War Two was missing was a real feel good story than this is for you. It reads like a long Reader's Digest article, very G rated & optimistic. Has its place, but it's not really holding my attention.

This book is redeeming the slog of the last dull one and then raising the game even higher.

Not for nothing, but I didn't really need a couple dozen new characters.

Reading this while waiting for showing of The Conspirator to start - turning into a Civil War history geek

I'm really enjoying this sequel to World Made by Hand. But I'm more than a little peeved that the first mention of ANY LGBT people surviving into the post-oil era is on page 189 of the second book. Maybe it's just my homo-sexist attitude talking but I think us queers would kick ass in a post-apocalyptic universe.

I really really tried to read this book. But it was as compelling as drying paint and I gave up.
