The audiobook narrator is fantastic! Really enjoying this story, even though it feels so heavy.

Ummm, yikes! 😬 Bruuutal and I love a good revenge arc.

I’ve had so many rage-filled moments while reading this book. This is a whole new type of horror for me.

Started reading this morning and can’t stop! It’s so compulsive 🙌🤘 I couldn’t get off work fast enough and now I’m settled in and can’t wait to see what happens next.

This has been infuriating so far and I’m sure it’s gonna keep getting worse. I hope these people get what they deserve… ugh. 😑

The Minotaur represents repression…hmmm… interesting in connection to Karen and Navidson.

Lots of biblical references in this one. Out of all the chaos that is this story, the one thing currently bugging me is how the footnote will be referenced, but not included in the story initially. Maddening. lol But I guess that’s the point, right?

As a mom of 3, this story is so unsettling. It makes me wanna wrap my kids in a bubble and never leave my house 😭 This is the most difficult kind of horror.

I’m definitely gonna need to read more by this author. Love the gory, creepy details in this book. A doll made of human hair and teeth 🤩 🙌

The audiobook for this is really good so far! Loving the creepy vibes and animals.

I love how Abby Jimenez introduces the conflicts in her books. It feels so authentic and raw without being boring. She has a way of making you fall in love with the most ordinary characters.

Loving this! It feels like watching “Tales From the Crypt” when I was a kid 😁🙌

So far, we have:
- An abduction and locked doors
- Atmospheric dread
- An obsession with mushrooms
- Past (mean girls) trauma as a teen history/mystery
- Unreliable characters
- Something in the woods, kinda vibes
- Ghosts in the house? Possible haunted house?
- The mc had a malignant tumor that’s constantly referenced and feels like it’s a character in this story…

All mushrooms are edible, but some of them only once. 😄

The way this book describes the direwolf bond is absolutely incredible. I’ve never read anything that captures the pack connection quite like this one. Love love loooove!! ✨🐺✨

So so good!! I’m loving the bloody, gruesome fight scenes and all of the wolf-bonded drama! 🐺

I wish the spice was spicier, but I’m appreciating the tension :)

Also, happy to say that I’m enjoying the sneaky scenes! Lots of action going on and curious to see how this wraps up.

Not enjoying this one as much as I wanted to, but it’s not bad. The reading feels a little shallow… I also feel like the whole “rescue the sibling” thing has been severely overdone in the fantasy genre.

Loving the multiple timelines in this one. So well written 🙌
