Listening on Audible. Blown away by the way the way the book began like a radio show with stereo sound effects and multiple narrators with an excellent variety of voices.

I enjoyed reading the text of the Chronos Origins #1 more than the audiobook of Chronos Origins #2. Rysa Walker exhibits her genius writing just as well in the second book. But something is lost in the audio. Part of it is an excellent host of characters was chosen to read and the voices are nicely distinct from each other, but I'd like a more of a stodgy old historian voice reading the historical texts.

Never having fallen in love with San Francisco myself, I started reading this because of my interest in history in general. This book is written more like it is following the lives of people rewriting themselves in the town as they themselves rewrite the landscape of the place they've called San Francisco. I like that she drops tidbits of historical accuracy in among the fictional characters.
