All but 1 of these authors are new to the Heart2Heart anthology. 4 stories in and I’m thinking there was a reason for that. The quality of writing is not what it’s been in past volumes.

As a Jew who doesn't believe in Hell, I find that hilarious.

Sierra Simone/Kennedy Ryan - 5 stars. Holy shit - that just about melted my ereader.

Keeland /Ward - 3 stars

Baby it’s cold outside - 4 stars. Adorable meet cute.

Hunting/Shen - 1.5 stars. Reminded me of everything I hated about Pucked.

There’s a 30 page section missing from this copy of the book. It skips from page 122 to 155. Hope there’s nothing too important in those 30 pages.

Jesus, did none of these authors use a damn editor? I’m trying to give all these new-to-me authors a chance, but they’re not making it easy. So far I’ve only liked one story.

Read the first two books, setting aside for a few days to read my book club selection.

The linguist in me is absolutely cringing at the attempts at a Cajun dialect. Some of Beau's speech is so wrong. She's obviously decided that "dis", "der", and "ting" are the only hallmarks of Cajun speech.

Enjoying this one more than the last book. But "angst" is NOT a verb, damnit. It's been used that way in both books. I hoped it was an oversight in Sutphin Boulevard, but obviously not.

4 stars for book 2.

Done with book 1. A fun read, 3.5 stars. On to book 2.

I'm a third of the way through this, and I'm bored. Not sure it's worth finishing.

Omg this book is a fucking train wreck. I'm already composing the angry review in my head and I haven't even finished it yet.

Hitting pause on this one so I can read my next book club selection.

At the halfway point!

Nothing like binge reading a series...just started my third Portland Storm novel in 4 days.

Does anyone else get angry with the author when the identity of the murderer in a mystery is revealed and it's not who you thought it would be? Yeah, this one made me angry enough to put down the book for the night.

Why do people love this book? I'm a quarter of the way through and I just don't get it. Why should I care about these two horrible people?

My new pet peeve is people who give one star reviews of historical romances because the characters actions, feelings, motivations, etc don't fit with their modern viewpoint. Why would you expect a story set in a different era to feature modern characters? If you can't understand that, don't read historicals.
