Only 10 pages in and so deeply impacted. As an abuse survivor, I have been plagued by how Christians can act like all is fine while blaming victims for their abuse. Finally, a voice of someone who has looked past the veneer of goodness and understands that evil is present with us, even sitting next to is in church, or even in our own hearts. That Jesus came down into the "dungeons of our own hearts".

Mixed about this. Keep being done with it then pick it up and start some more. Excellent writing, but many elements of story done so many times before. Will see....

Wow. The history of studying and learning about abuse and trauma itself is filled with trauma done to those already victimized. Learned so much about Freud and his cowardice to stick by his own findings. He cared more about his reputation and acceptance than about his patients.

So far every page has nuggets of wisdom, healing, and truth.
