The first book in this series was a unique plot using very awkward forced proximity trope. This book is using a much more overused fake relationship trope. And a lot of sitcom style miscommunication for the plot which feel hooky. I really liked the first book but this one? Meh.

This reminds me of the Lion, the Witch and the Wardobe and other classic childhood adventures. A little Lyra and Pan, a little Lucy, and so many more. Think I am enjoying book 2 more than the first book.
